SUBWAY Ends “Any Five Dollar Footlong” Promotion
Subway, one of the most popular submarine sandwich stores in the nation, ended their Any Five Dollar Footlong promotion today.
The promotional time period allowed for a Subway customer to purchase any regular (not premium!) footlong submarine sandwich for a mere price of $5. However, Subway will now offer eight footlong subs that will remain at the mere price of $5.

Hoping that your Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki or Subway Club is on the list? Unfortunately, no. Here is a list of the subs that are included in the eight $5 footlongs.
- Tuna
- Black Forest Ham
- Meatball Marinara
- BLT
- Oven Roasted Chicken Breast
- Cold Cut Combo
- Spicy Italian
- Veggie Delite
Questions have also arisen over whether this will cause a significant number of people to stop going to Subway, due to the increased cost of some footlong subs.
How will Subway’s price changes affect how often you eat at the restaurant?

I went to Subway yesterday and was p*ssed that the Subway Club combo was now over $9. I used to go every single day… but not any longer. My other favorite sandwich was the Chicken Teriyaki… but that’s no longer $5 either.
I think I’ll only go twice a week now and get the ($5) meatball sub.

That’s terrible news - I think these are the subs they originally introduced the promotion with. Tuna isn’t bad but nothing beats the club and chicken teriyaki.

Yes the only subs left that are $5 are the original ones from the $5 footlong promotion. While it sucks that every sub is no longer $5 at least the Chicken Breast and Spicy Italian still are.

Was this the planned end date for the promotion? I thought that it went through May. There’s no way I’d eat there without the $5 deal. I guess I’ll just get a dumb Tuna or meatball sub now that chicken bacon ranch is not an option.

I will be less likely particularly considering the $4 option at other places. Frankly, the arrogance of ending the promotion and the no notice of the end of the promotion is irritating.

Fuck Subway. They finally got their prices down to about what a sandwich is worth with the $5 deal. Now it’s back up there and I won’t be going anymore.

I quit eating there a long time ago. I used to get a foot long BLT, chips and a drink for 5.61$ now its over 9 bucks for the same meal!! Most of the people they have working in the local stores around here are lazy anyway. They could care less and hate having to work. As a result you get BAD service. That and the price, ill never go back.

I love subway and despite the others’ opinions I only eat the oven roasted chicken anyway so I can see why you are upset. But personally It won’t make me eat there any more or less because they just tend to be in overall inconvenient locations.

I’ve been getting a $5 footlong every week until yesterday when I handed them my $5 and the server
said, “It’s $6.50.” He should have told me that
the prices changed when I ordered.

People need to settle down over this. It is not Subway’s duty to inform you that a sale is over. There are plenty of indicators around the store that list the 8 subs that are five dollars. it was just a sale. let me say that again. IT WAS JUST A SALE. A sale does not last forever. If you cannot afford to eat there, stop complaining and go to McDonald’s. Seriously. The people who serve you the food have done nothing wrong. They’re just following the rules they have been given, so don’t take it out on them. It’s very rude and unfair.

Reality bites but we endure. Thx for having the base of the menu at $5, My wife and I appreciate the good deal. Thx for having the top of the menu list for $5 for the sale period. Your stuff is good but it doesn’t really change how often we get sandwiches there. It’s still cheaper than most fast foods and a hell-of-a-lot better.

I Googled which sandwiches are $5 and this was a result. Some of these comments are kinda sad, really.
